
Staying on top with technology is hard especially when fleets and shops have more than one scanner. Keeping up with updates on all of them can be a challenge but it must be done.
Technology with laptops does get old and out dated so you will have to move on to new technology. Do your homework. Price shop. Talk to a reliable person who understands what you will need to get the job done with out wasting time.
They is a lot you have to do before you install the Ford IDS/FRDS software to new laptops. It has to have the right hard drive, memory, wifi, and operating system. New laptops require a lot of updates before ready for use. Buying or transferring license. Up dating the VCI. Setting the IDS reading measures correctly to read PSI, Miles, temperature, and etc… With out help it will cost you money.
